Legal and support

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Slavic School processes when you use our website, mobile app, classes, and learning services.

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating or using an account, including your name, email address, role, profile details, preferred language, and profile photo.

We process learning and service information such as class bookings, attendance, teachers, assignments, answers, vocabulary, progress, subscriptions, balances, purchase and payment records, and support requests.

  • Messages, group discussions, and files or media you choose to share.
  • Lesson recordings, voice recordings, photos, or documents you choose to upload or create.
  • Device and technical information such as app version, operating system, device identifiers, push-notification tokens, IP address, and diagnostic events.
  • Sign-in information received from Apple or Google when you choose those sign-in methods.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure your account, deliver classes and learning features, connect students and teachers, send service notifications, answer support requests, maintain records, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.

We may use aggregated or anonymized information to understand how the service is used and improve learning features.

Device permissions

After sign-in, the app may ask whether you want notifications for lesson changes, assignments, and messages. It may also request access to photos or videos that you choose to upload. The current mobile release does not request microphone or camera access. You can change granted permissions in your device settings.

Sharing and service providers

We share information only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, protect users, or complete an action you request. Students, teachers, and authorized school staff can see information required for classes, communication, and administration.

We may use trusted providers for hosting, file storage, email, push notifications, authentication, analytics, diagnostics, video meetings, and payment processing. Payment providers process payment-card or bank details under their own privacy terms; Slavic School does not receive full payment-card details.

Retention and account deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate operational, security, accounting, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes.

In the app or on the public account page, you can freeze access indefinitely or start irreversible deletion immediately. A frozen account remains stored and can be explicitly unfrozen after a valid sign-in; freezing does not pause billing, classes, or enrollments. Deletion cannot be restored, and private account data is deleted or anonymized. We may retain safety reports for up to 24 months and retain anonymous class, payment, security, dispute, or legal records where reasonably necessary or required by law.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information, and you may request account deletion in the app or on our account deletion page. Rights depend on your location and may have legal exceptions.

To make a privacy request, email us from the address connected to your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.

Children and younger users

The service is intended for users aged 13 or older. A parent or legal guardian must authorize use where required for a minor. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorization, contact us.

Security, international processing, and changes

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no online system is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries where our providers operate, with safeguards required by applicable law.

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above.
